2020 was certainly a tough year, for so many people. No one was immune. Everyone had concerns. But here at Impact Communications, the firm I founded 28 years ago, we are grateful for the lessons learned, the problems solved, and the families we fed. We are tighter as a team, stronger as individuals, and more grounded than ever before. At Impact Communications, one of our hallmark phrases is "dedicated, discerning, driven." That certainly was the case for Team Impact, only doubly so in 2020 right up til now, May 2021.
Now that the vaccines are working and travel is more safe, we are excited about the prospect of seeing old friends and new at industry conferences this fall. Please look for us, say hello, and let's compare notes. So far we are slated to be at:
Not going to conferences this fall? Follow @JonnySwiftIC and @MarieSwift on Twitter and Impact Communications on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Let us know how we can help you reach your business growth and positioning goals. We probably have added new talent and capabilities since we last spoke. Now that things are getting back to normal after the coronavirus lockdowns, we thought it might be good to take down our "business as usual / we are here for you" note on the home page of our website and replace it with this blog post and "onward/grateful" video - see below. We so appreciate all of our loyal clients and business friends. What an amazing group of people to know and do business with. ![]()
Thank you for your continued confidence and trust. And to those who sent surprises such as cases of lovely organic wine, unexpected bonus checks, thank you notes, business opportunities, and goodie baskets (you know who you are!): Wow, just wow. Mind blown. Kindness certainly was contagious in my tribe.
To those of you who listened when I said, "Stay the course. Don't shrink away from your marketing plan now. Let's stay focused and go harvest some opportunities," thank you for leaning in and ploughing ahead -- or even doubling down (and, heck yes, I am happy to say in this instance "I told you so!"). Also, a big shout out to everyone who participated in the Conversations That Matter project and the upcoming Mastering The Conversation project. Finally, as we observe Memorial Day, remember those who so bravely served our country in the military and especially those who did not return home, let us say a special prayer of thanks for the blessings we have and the freedoms we enjoy. Memorial Day weekend is also considered the start of Summer. I have several fun outings planned -- and can even go maskless now that my family and I have met all the CDC protocols -- and I hope you do, too. Remember to treat yourself as well as you treat others. Be kind to yourself. You deserve it. Enjoy your summer and see you soon!
