Though I am an advanced, seasoned marketer, I knew I could benefit from finding the right marketing consultant. I have worked with a variety of firms over the years, many of which provided some value, but never enough for me to to keep going back to again and again.
I learned about Marie and starting working with her. One of the projects I presented her was how to increase assets under management. She really listened to what I had been doing and what my strengths and weaknesses were in marketing.
Rather than trying to patch over my weaknesses, she accentuated my strengths. I happen to be good at workshops and direct mail. She designed a direct mail program consisting of a series of white papers that were originally targeted to my CPA and law clients. She had me send my target audience a three ring binder with tabs, one for each white paper. The first mailing presented the three ring binder and one white paper. The cover letter included a workshop invitation and an offer to see me personally. Then, a month later we sent another white paper and another invitation to a workshop and an invitation to see me. Then another in another month, then another in the 4th month. We will send a video next.
Though it is hard to trace the results of this mailing since we were doing other things that this mailing was part of, it is a reasonable estimate to say we picked up between $10M and $20M under management from this campaign. Of course I expect I also created a lot of interest in addition to money that is in the door. Even forgetting all the warm leads I created, depending on how long the clients stay with me, I figure it is about a 50:1 ROI. If you include Marie's fee in the calculation it is still 50:1 because her fee was so inconsequential to the value created. It worked so well I am repeating the process with a less warm list.
Marie has also helped improve our copy (despite the fact I am a seasoned student of direct marketing copy), made valuable website recommendations, helped with PR, and become a warm, welcome and trusted advisor.

We started using Marie Swift and Impact Communications in early 2005, and it's made a tremendous difference for our business. For us, her contacts in the industry and national media have been extremely valuable. Our national presence in '"name" publications enhances our local reputation and attracts considerable attention. Locally, our media environment is very difficult, and that continues to be a frustration. While some may argue that a local firm might better address these issues, I doubt it. Though I am an advanced, seasoned marketer, I knew I could benefit from finding the right marketing consultant. I have worked with a variety of firms over the years, many of which provided some value, but never enough for me to to keep going back to again and again.
I learned about Marie and starting working with her. One of the projects I presented her was how to increase assets under management. She really listened to what I had been doing and what my strengths and weaknesses were in marketing.
Rather than trying to patch over my weaknesses, she accentuated my strengths. I happen to be good at workshops and direct mail. She designed a direct mail program consisting of a series of white papers that were originally targeted to my CPA and law clients. She had me send my target audience a three ring binder with tabs, one for each white paper. The first mailing presented the three ring binder and one white paper. The cover letter included a workshop invitation and an offer to see me personally. Then, a month later we sent another white paper and another invitation to a workshop and an invitation to see me. Then another in another month, then another in the 4th month. We will send a video next.
Though it is hard to trace the results of this mailing since we were doing other things that this mailing was part of, it is a reasonable estimate to say we picked up between $10M and $20M under management from this campaign. Of course I expect I also created a lot of interest in addition to money that is in the door. Even forgetting all the warm leads I created, depending on how long the clients stay with me, I figure it is about a 50:1 ROI. If you include Marie's fee in the calculation it is still 50:1 because her fee was so inconsequential to the value created. It worked so well I am repeating the process with a less warm list.
Marie has also helped improve our copy (despite the fact I am a seasoned student of direct marketing copy), made valuable website recommendations, helped with PR, and become a warm, welcome and trusted advisor.

We started using Marie Swift and Impact Communications in early 2005, and it's made a tremendous difference for our business. For us, her contacts in the industry and national media have been extremely valuable. Our national presence in '"name" publications enhances our local reputation and attracts considerable attention. Locally, our media environment is very difficult, and that continues to be a frustration. While some may argue that a local firm might better address these issues, I doubt it.
