In the short time Patrick Marcinko has been in the financial services profession, he has accomplished a lot. He’s been quoted in Fortune, Business Insider, USA Today, U.S. News and World Report, Yahoo! Finance, CNET Money, and GOBankingRates. He has led Bogart Wealth LEARNING SERIES webinars and featured on the firm’s podcast with firm founder James Bogart.

​Patrick is the Director of NexGen for the Financial Planning Association National Capital Area (FPA NCA) chapter, organizing opportunities for younger planners to connect and grow in their careers from FPA's resources.

He is also responsible for The FPA NCA NexGen Retreat, bringing in a series of guest speakers to talk to the NexGen members and share career guidance and industry insights. For this year’s retreat, scheduled for August, Patrick has Caleb Brown from New Planner Recruiting and Anne Lester from JP Morgan and author of Your Best Financial Life, planning to speak at the event.

Patrick is also on the Recent Alumni Board for the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech and the Jobs & Internship Committee for the Financial Planning and Wealth Management program at George Mason University, where he regularly meets with students and other recent alumni to help get internships and other employment opportunities within the financial services profession.

He even finds time to volunteer with a local nonprofit, Britepaths, providing free personal finance learning opportunities to gain the skills necessary to manage household finances, as well as speaking at his high school’s Carroll County Academy of Finance organization which provides students with the opportunity to learn about financial literacy and apply for summer internships.
